Carnival is a great affair for the people in the rhine land in germany. Especially for those who live in Cologne or Aachen. And even more for the people of Lichtenbusch, a small village at the border of Aachen which lies half across the border to Belgium. They call themselves the happiest villages of Europe.
The most beautyful and therefore the most interesting for a fotographer (but not only for him) are the dancing girls :-)). As the boy friend of the trainer and choreographer of all groups (called guards) and solo dancers (called Tanzmarie) of the KG Grün Weiß Lichtenbusch I was a kind of house photographer.
Due to the great number of dance-ethusiastic and talented girls in the society there is always a lot to do. I even had to split the pictures to several pages.

At last:
Of course these photos are nice (I made them ;-) but it's still
just photos. If you got the chance try to see them live. It's the only
way to really see the dynamic and choreography in motion.
The tremendous mood you experience with the KG Grün Weiß Lichtenbusch is beyond beeing photographable.
